Brief description of the work:

We uses the XAFS for studying the structural as well as electronic structure information on the high Tc superconductors. This technique has also been employed to probe the local orbital character of the carriers in doped cuprates and the short range order around various cations. We studies EXAFS data analysis for our structural analysis, which gives a wealth of information on the changes in near neighbour environment and obtain valuable information on the behaviour of holes in these systems. We also want to use EXAFS analysis for local lattice distortion present in the high Tc superconductor. We are doing the XANES analysis for some of the very useful information’s as density of states, valence state of cation, site geometry etc.
