Brief description of the work:

My research activity is developed in the framework of material science, by means of spectroscopic techniques mainly based on synchrotron radiation (SR), such as photoemission (SR-XPS) and absorption (NEXAFS and reflEXAFS), to aspects regarding the electronic and molecular structure, the molecular orientation and morphology of thin films. Among the investigated materials are organic and organometallic polymers-oligomers and biomaterials, with particular attention to the interface formation with inorganic materials (metals, oxides, proteins), the sensitivity to external media and their application. The SR activity started at ADONE (Frascati), then SSRL (Stanford) and successively SuperACO (Parigi), ELETTRA (Trieste) and SSRL (Grenoble).
