Brief description of the work:

My research interests include: semiconductor nanostructures, epilayers and thin films (strain, interdiffusion, interface reactions); surface science; synchrotron radiation instrumentation. I am author of 100 papers and am a referee for the major physics journals.
Currently I am Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Bologna. I have been part of the group which proposed and built the GILDA beamline at ESRF. My group is a frequent user of ESRF and ELETTRA beamlines.
